The Community Listen

The first event of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley, The Community Listen is an opportunity to hear from a panel of real people in the local LGBTQ+ community sharing their personal stories of roadblocks to equality and personal dignity that they still encounter in 2020 in Harrisonburg and surrounding areas. Interested citizens will learn about what makes a “safe” space in which the lives and liberty of LGBTQ+ persons are valued and empowered. Join special guest, Christine Jones of Free Mom Hugs, in hearing practical, timely information on how to become a real ally not just in word, but in action.
