I spent a little time this week looking over the District 3 voting data, available at https://www.vpap.org/electionresults/20260421/rockingham-county-va/
None of the precincts in our district backed the special election measure. Precinct 305, Massanetta Springs, that went blue in the fall, came in with a total of 37% voting yes (400 votes). This special election means that now Ben Cline can no longer ignore some of his constituents, and that our next representatives should work for all of us instead of doing the bidding of powerful factions. Melrose, Precinct 303, saw 12% Yes votes (49 votes). This link shows a fascinating graphic about the vote. We’ll have work to do!
